Black Hawks Of Panama aka. Danny Whitehead‘s musical career started in the DJ booths of many of Ibiza’s finest clubs and bars back in the heady days of the 90s.
These days Danny finds himself more comfortably nestled in the studio with the Black Hawks of Panama project forged based on experiences and musical tales of the past and present.

Here he’s out on the always hip and inventive Manchester label Sprechen, on their massively intersting Edgy Future Discotheque Vol. 4 compilation.

Turn You On is a fizzy and analogue spunky summer breeze of a track with some amazingly cool synth work.

It builds like a classic 80’ies 12″ version with dubby lay-ins and spends time building its groove.

I’m smitten with the overall sound and immediately sensed the sonic universe that it conveys, although I’m new to Black Hawks Of Panama.

As a starting point, this is well-placed as the first track on the Edgy Future Discotheque Vol. 4 compilation, but it’s actually a great entry into the whole sonic soundspace of Sprechen.
