Norwegian outfit Lakeshouse make fine, fine tunes. Lakeshouse is a group of producers, jazz musicians and visual artists collaborating to create their unique take on various forms of underground dance music. Released on Paper Recordings and praised in both DJ Mag and Mixmag, both “Firkanta EP” and “Folkemusikk” connected the dots between Norwegian space disco and  the UK club scene.

Tusen Takk, the titular track of their Tusen Takk EP which is doing its rounds right now, is a deep and lingering cut that plants itself somewhere pleasant between House and Balearic with a little hint of Disco buried deep.

Cosmic, chimey synths sweep, a deep and droning bassline ties it all together as the lads go on a sonic adventure, with equal amounts of melancholy and playfulness.
Sound weird? Not at all!

Imagine Todd Terje having an electric child with LCD Soundsystem.

This is a perfect piece of crossover, destined for fame and glory.

Grab it on Traxsource.
