Hot on the heels of Highrollers #1, DiCE_NZ brings another two top shelf edits with round two of the Highroller series!

Included in BBC Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show top 20 for 2020, and played a massive three weeks in a row, ‘Too Late’ is finally available! Reworking the Carole King classic ‘It’s Too Late’ into a slow, driving jazzy groover, this track packs a punch, keeps the listener waiting, and turns it all around at the end to keep everyone happy!
On the flip we find ‘The Flight’ – This is a gentle styling of Joe Sample‘s somewhat over-looked piano driven classic. Injected with energy and spunk from the DiCE_NZ treatment, this is an exquisite cut with a very strong sense of style – DiCE_NZ maintains the diamond standard on Highrollers #2

DiCE_NZ are a loose collective centred around DJ Dave Ti, a UK native who relocated to Auckland in 2005. He/they made his/their name on the re-edits scene, but has/have latterly made the move into production, working alongside the likes of Fat Freddy’s Drop and The Black Seeds and picking up regular spins from Craig Charles. Here, though – in surely the week’s most laudable act of recidivism – Dave’s up to his old tricks again, reworking Carole King classic ‘It’s Too Late’ and an unidentifed but infuriatingly familiar jazz-funker into mellow, looping jams built for back rooms and post-club chilling.
