Only Good Vibes Music launched to critical praise and lots of attention back in June with the debut release by D.C. LaRue. Behind Only Good Vibes Music you’ll find Paul Conway & John MacKinnon, both from Glasgow, Scotland.
The lads have gained a lot of feel good vibes from all around because of their video interviews on their Only Good Vibes vlog with really cozy interviews with Thelma Houston, Mark Knight, Sam Divine, Seamus Haji and more.
Their label has an equally nice and cozy vibe to it.
Second release comes from South Bronx based veteran funker Dutch Robinson.
I selected OPOLOPO‘s magnificent remix of Drive Me Wild, which really perfects the vibe.
Swedish OPOLOPO seems to have hit a magic formula, at least for me, because everything he touches is truly unique and well-crafted.
The integration of the original is there, but where the original is a slow jammed, sexy R’n’B concoction, OPOLOPO‘s remix ups the tempo and turns it into a full fledged Funk rollercoaster.
The production quality is top class and has a delicious polish that just makes the track sparkle.
Only Good Vibes Music catapults itself on the very top of my favorite labels with their second release, which to my ears is one of the finest releases out there at the moment.
