Vehicle have been putting out an insane amount of quality edits and re-works. Behind the label is Valique and his way to reworks and edit really stands out. The level of craftsmanship is uncanny, and such love and eye for detail are put in every release.

Now The Boogie Box 9 has finally been released. Three new tracks that fit the Boogie Box concept. The bar is impossibly high, so it’s no easy task to equal the previous incarnations in the series. But Valique manages admirably.

First off is a dreadlocky reggae drenched progger, Supertax – Generation Running Out Of Patience (V’s edit), that gets the release going on a slow pace, yet phenomenally juicy and punchy.

On the second cut you’ll find a soulful reforming of a classic disco kind of operation, J. Karn – Don’t Come Easy (V’s Not Tonight edit), with strings and horns, with added blip blops and panache from Valique.

Third cut is the real winner! B. Cole – Bump (V’s Edit), with a really sunny and laid back Brazilian vibe to it, due to magnificent percussion work by Valique, who has really outdone himself on this one.

The release is of course already topping the Nu-Disco chart on Junodownload.

You can get behind the mind and machinery of what is Valique with our interview, real soon. Stay tuned!
