Fortunea Records, the Austrian label founded in 2014 by Vienna-based DJ and producer Klaus Benedek, has become a cornerstone of the city’s house and electronic music scene. Originally created to showcase Benedek’s productions, the label quickly grew as friends and colleagues sent in demos, evolving into a hub for local talent.
Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, Fortunea marks the milestone with Down The Danube River, a 2×12″ vinyl compilation featuring nine tracks. The release includes works from established artists like Peletronic, Dzc., and Moff & Tarkin, alongside fresh faces like gutinstinct and SXP. The collection spans bass-heavy broken beats, deep house grooves, and experimental downtempo, reflecting a decade of musical evolution.
Hanzo & I-Wolf’s ” Disco Amor” melodies coil and sway like serpents under a spell, moving with a drowsy, dreamlike grace. It’s a haunting fusion of styles and influences, all bound by a rhythm that lingers like a memory you can’t quite place.
